    Try a sample idea
A small-business owner and friendly AI companion connect a document, calendar and application across floating islands.

    Read the weekly notes.

Our first edition is on its way. In the meantime, explore a sample idea below.

    A useful mix, each week.

    What is happening

Selected AI developments, with the useful part explained for a small business.

    What it means

Plain-English explanations, illustrated ideas and a clearer way to think about the tools.

    One thing to try

A small, practical exercise you can explore at your own pace.

    A taste of the newsletter

Four questions before you try an AI tool.

An announcement can sound exciting and still leave a simple question unanswered: what would I actually use this for?

    1. What changed?

Read the original announcement. Is it a new capability, a new way to access an existing tool, or a demonstration?

    2. Can I use it?

Check the country, account type, plan and rollout details. Look at the cost and any required connections.

    3. What small task fits?

Choose one output you already understand: a draft, summary or checklist. Try it with fictional information first.

    4. How will I check it?

Decide what a useful answer must include, what it must avoid and what you will compare it with.

You can stop after any question. Choosing to wait is a reasonable result.

    One useful thing

Give it the facts. Check the draft.

Try this in an AI assistant you already use. All details are fictional:

    Fictional business: Paperbark Bikes.
Task: prepare a short weekly update.
Notes: Saturday puncture-repair workshop; six places; time not confirmed.
Use only these notes. List missing facts separately.
Do not invent a time, price or booking link.

Did it keep six places and flag the missing time? Did it invent a price, link or promise? Compare the draft with the notes. The check is part of the task.

    Keep exploring.
